What is Physiotherapy ???

Physiotherapy is a health care profession which assists people to restore, maintain and maximise their strength, function, movement, and overall well-being. The terms "physiotherapy" and "physical therapy" mean the same thing and are used interchangeably, as are the terms “physiotherapist” and “physical therapist”.
Physiotherapists have in-depth knowledge of how the body works and specialised hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat symptoms of illness, injury and disability. Physiotherapy includes rehabilitation, as well as prevention of injury, and promotion of health and fitness. Physiotherapists often work in teams with other health professionals to help meet an individual's health care needs.

  1. Thanks for sharing this clear explanation of physiotherapy. It’s helpful to understand how a physiotherapy clinic and skilled physiotherapists support recovery and overall movement. Many people also benefit from treatments like myotherapy in Brisbane, sports massage therapy, or dry needling in Brisbane for pain and muscle care. Services such as cupping therapy in Brisbane and specialised care from a scoliosis specialist for effective scoliosis treatment can also make a big difference, whether visiting a local clinic like Rochedale physio or similar centres.
